Inter-Connex is pleased to provide details of our next 'public' four-day
Process Facilitation Skills Workshop.  The course is available in English only.

January 9-12, 2017 – Centurion Conference & Event Center

The purpose of the workshop is to introduce participants to, and enable them to practice, the knowledge and skills of process facilitation.  This highly participatory training workshop addresses the need for facilitation skills in getting a team to accomplish a task.  The objective of the four days is to give participants sufficient practice and feedback to allow them to feel comfortable in applying these skills in group/team situations. 
Each day consists of short concept briefings, small group practice sessions, individual feedback, and “real-world” applications, in a safe learning environment.  All participants will learn by doing.
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
  • Choose the appropriate process for helping a group accomplish a specific task in a team environment;
  • Apply facilitation techniques for greatest effect;
  • Establish the appropriate environment for group sessions;
  • Adopt session-leading behaviour which is appropriate to the group and task;
  • Coach others in team leading and facilitation; and
  • Facilitate themselves through the various process pieces that comprise a strategic and operational plan.
During the first 2 days participants are introduced to the basic facilitation skills, the discipline of process, methods and group behaviour.  This knowledge will provide perspective for participants on how to approach working with groups.  The remaining 1 days are spent applying the new skills in a strategic and operational planning environment.

John Butcher, Associates In Planning, and Tony Nash, Inter-Connēx Consulting Inc., have over 40 years combined experience as active process facilitators in both the public and private sectors.  Both hold the designation IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator from the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).  Tony is an Assessor and Process Manager with the IAF certification program.
